In addition to Riverland, the Dubai Parks and Resorts has three theme parks: Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai, and Legoland Dubai. Furthermore, it also has Legoland Water Park. Polynesian-themed family Resort and Lapita Hotel Dubai are some other notable attractions for tourists looking for a stay. Overall Dubai Parks and Resorts is spread over 25 million square feet and is waiting to undergo further expansion. The number of rides available within the place is more than 100.
Ticket prices of Dubai Parks and Resorts are very affordable. An annual ticket of just AED 595 can give you unlimited visits to all the attractions for a year. Whereas you can also buy one day entry ticket to all the attractions within Dubai Parks and Resorts. Likewise, separate entry tickets are also sold to individual attractions for one day. Ticket prices are different for UAE residents and tourists. Ticket for Bollywood parks is 99AED for UAE residents and 175AED for tourists for a day. Similarly, ticket for Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai and Legoland waterpark each is 175AED for UAE residents and 245AED for tourists. You are eligible for an additional 10% discount on any ticket if you buy online and in advance. Riverland Dubai is the only free attraction within the Dubai Parks and Resorts. Timings: Each different sections within Dubai Parks and Resorts have a slightly different opening and closing time. Motiongate Dubai opens at 12 PM every day and closes at 9 PM on weekdays and 10 PM on Thursday and Friday. Bollywood Parks open at 1 PM every day and close at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 PM on Thursday and Friday. Legoland Dubai opens at 10 AM each day and closes at 6 PM on weekdays and 8 PM on Thursday and Friday. Legoland waterpark stays consistent and stays open from 10 AM till 6 PM each day. Located on the Sheikh Zayed road, Dubai; Dubai Parks and Resorts is conveniently accessible from Dubai as well as Abu Dhabi. Public transport as well as by private vehicles. The DPR1 Bus to Dubai Parks and Resorts departs from Ibn Battuta Metro Station as early as 7 AM and as late as 11:10 PM. The special bus makes 26 trips daily accommodating hundreds of people from all walks of life.
You can access Dubai Parks and Resorts in your own vehicle as well. Coming from Dubai, you can take the E11 Highway that is Sheikh Zayed Road and exit 5 after crossing Dubai Marina and Jebel Ali. If coming from Abu Dhabi, you can take Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid road towards Dubai and take exit 5. Easy signs are installed for preferred parking and drop off location.
Taxi from downtown Dubai will cost approximately 100 AED, that is equivalent to USD 27, GBP 21 and EUR 23 only. From Dubai Marina and Dubai International Airports, the fare will approximately be AED60 and AED120 respectively. Public transport although costs way less than a taxi making it easy on the pocket.
One can stay in the middle of the action at Lapita Hotel or the Polynesian-themed family resort inside the park. Riverland Dubai stays as the personal favorite of the writer.
